New developments underway in Metro Atlanta

There are four new residential developments coming to Metro Atlanta, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The communities vary in housing stock, from traditional single-family homes to townhomes, with prices starting at $220,000. We’ve provided more details below:

Parkview Village, Gwinnett County – A Blue River Development called Parkview Village is currently underway, and according to plans submitted to Gwinnett County, the 23.4-acre neighborhood will feature 129 townhomes and 24 detatched single-family homes. The townhomes will start in the $220,000s and range in size from 1,600 to 2,000 square feet, while the single-family homes will start in the $260,000s and be sized 2,000 to 2,800 square feet. The County’s planning commission is scheduled to review the proposal by March. 3, 2017.

Paran Homes, Cobb County – Paran Homes is developing a 76-home neighborhood, with home sizes ranging between 2,900 to 3,800 square feet. The project is set on 43.5 acres along Corner Road, south of Wright Road. Each home will feature traditional brick and stone accents. Plans filed with the County has the homes priced between $270,000 and $320,000.

Townhome  community, Woodstock – Venture Homes has proposed a new townhome community on the south side of Highway 92. The community would include a total of 84 units. A hearing was set with the planning commission on Feb. 2, 2017.

Active-adult community, Cherokee County – Carson Developments is introducing a new residential community for active adults (note: it will include age restrictions). According to the plans given to the County, the project will consist of 88 units on 21.6 acres. A review of the project by the planning commission was scheduled for Jan. 23, 2017.
