Nearly 300 townhouses are going up across the street from the new 280-acre Westside Park in Rockdale.

The development, Park Vue, is located on Johnson Road NW along the northern border of the $44 million city park, which opened last year on the site of the former Bellwood Quarry and is bringing a host of new investments to the area.

About 30 of the homes have been sold, according to the developer, Ashton Woods. Prices range from $419,000 for the 1,362-square-foot Hummingbird model to $498,000 and up for the 1,600-square-foot Brycen.

All homes will have single-car garages, two to three bedrooms and two to three-and-a-half baths. Community amenities will include a gated entrance, pool, cabana, pond and access to the park.

Ashton Woods notes the community’s proximity to the increasingly popular West Midtown area, with its “historical legacy neighborhoods, urban lofts, local art galleries, live music venues and booming businesses.”

“After a quick commute home from work in downtown Atlanta or Buckhead, stop into one of the local breweries, grab dinner at a trending restaurant or take a stroll across the street to Westside Reservoir Park and unwind on the 280 acres of greenspace,” Park Vue’s website encourages.
