Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s opens office in Blue Ridge

by John Yellig

Lisa Johnson will lead the new office.

Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty opened a new office in Blue Ridge with the debut of Mountain Sotheby’s International Realty.

The office is owned by Atlanta Fine Homes President and CEO David Boehmig and Executive Chairman Jenny Pruitt. Executive Vice President and managing broker Lisa Johnson will lead the new location, which will serve the North Georgia mountain market and is Sotheby’s eighth affiliate in Georgia.

“Blue Ridge is considered the jewel of North Georgia,” Sotheby’s International Realty President and CEO Philip White said in a news release. “The market began developing years ago among retirees and second homeowners but became more popular for buyers looking for large outdoor space. The area also offers affordability compared to the surrounding areas and is within driving distance to Atlanta.”

Mountain Sotheby’s will have several agents in the new office. Johnson has been in residential real estate for 25 years.

“Given the demand we are seeing for homes in the North Georgia area, it made sense for us to expand to better support this growing market,” Boehmig said. “While the availability of mountain and lakefront homes are highly competitive, our company is able to provide on-the-ground knowledge, a white-glove level of service and international marketing opportunities through our affiliation with Sotheby’s International Realty.”
