Fischer Homes purchased the final phase of land at The Reserve at Liberty Park master-planned development in Braselton from Walton Global.
Fischer is building 139 single-family homes from its Designer Collection in the gated Jackson County community.
The homebuilder acquired the first phase of the 70-acre parcel in 2021 through an exit-focused option agreement with Walton that called for Fischer to complete the purchase over a three-year period. Fischer closed 22 months ahead of schedule due to pressing housing demand in Atlanta and pre-sold 40 homes before the grand opening of the model last month, according to a news release.
“Even with market conditions softening, we expect to sell out of this community at a fast pace,” market president Doug Cohen said. “Walton has been a great partner and supported our ability to get homes to the market. We look forward to working with them on the next transaction that we have in the works and many more in the future.”
In addition to developing the homesites, Walton completed the zoning of a conservation easement to preserve other Jackson County land from future development.
“We’re thrilled to support Fischer Homes and see the early closing of this land transaction,” Walton senior vice president Anthony Sparrow said. “It not only reinforces our commitment to supporting homebuilders in creating sustainable communities but also shows there is positive movement in the current housing market where demand is high.”
Located at 1010 Liberty Park Drive, The Reserve at Liberty features a private clubhouse, resort-style pools and lighted tennis courts.
