Georgia is sixth-most “luxury-obsessed” state

Georgia is the sixth-most “luxury-obsessed” state in the U.S according to a new study. 

Washington, D.C., took the top spot, followed by New York and Florida, according to the study of Google Trends data conducted by customized-jewelry company Glamira. 

The Google data was analyzed to determine resident interest in a variety of search terms, like “luxury vacation,” “luxury jewelry” and “luxury hotels.” The states were ranked on scales of 0 to 100, with Washington, D.C., coming in at 78.71. It earned perfect scores of 100 for several search terms, including luxury apartments, hotels, brands and vacations.     

Georgia tied with Virginia for sixth place with a 57.78 score. It had the highest score for luxury car searches and a high score for luxury goods. 

The full list of search terms includes: “luxury goods,” “luxury brands,” ”luxury jewelry,” ”luxury hotels,” ”luxury cars,” ”luxury travel,” ”luxury apartments,” ”luxury vacation” and “luxury property.”
