The class-A, mid-rise development will be located at 3300 Burk Drive near Chamblee Tucker Road in an area that, recently, has been replete with new apartment development.

The project will have 192 one-, two- and three-bedroom units and approximately 15,000 square feet of commercial and amenity space. Those amenities include a fitness center, co-working space, pet spa and dog park, a double-height community room with an activated pool courtyard and sky lounge overlooking the neighboring DeKalb-Peachtree Airport.

“The Hawkins complements our existing Opportunity Zone development platform perfectly,” Atlas co-founder Alex Foster said in a press release. “Chamblee has tripled in growth over the past decade and is poised for even more growth in the coming years due to its neighborhood charm and prime location.”

Atlas is partnering with FIDES Development on the project, which was acquired fully entitled in July 2019. Walker & Dunlop’s Michael Diaz, Keith Kurland and Sean Reimer arranged a $41 million construction loan from Santander Bank.
