National and local housing resources for LGBTQ+ youth

There are many reasons why LGBTQ+ youth experience housing insecurity. A recent report from Today’s Homeowner cites familial rejection, discrimination, mental health challenges, lack of a support network and economic instability as just a few of the roadblocks these youth face when it comes to obtaining housing.

One organization working to combat LGBTQ+ youth housing insecurity in Atlanta is Lost-n-Found Youth. It provides services and housing assistance as well as counseling and other types of support to the LGBTQ+ community in the area.
