Parkland Communities adds directors of development, operations

by John Yellig

Parkland Communities continued to beef up its ranks with the recent hiring of Nick Patti as director of operations and Ian Young as director of development.

The Alpharetta-based developer is strategically adding staff as it seeks to expand its capabilities with plans to break ground on more than 1,000 lots this year and even more next year.

Young brings more than 27 years of land-development experience to Parkland. Originally from Scotland with a civil engineering degree, he most recently served as regional director of development at Forestar, one of the largest lot developers in the U.S.

Patti most recently served as the director of purchasing and estimating at Smith Douglas Homes. He brings over 18 years of comprehensive management experience and has a career that spans various construction projects in residential, commercial, industrial and heavy civil/marine markets.

“The addition of Ian Young and Nick Patti to our leadership team bolsters our construction and development capabilities,” Parkland President Jim Jacobi said in a press release. “Their impressive track records, commitment to quality and industry knowledge will propel Parkland Communities to new heights as we expand our reach in home building and development in Georgia.”
