Artisan Built Communities is developing Salacoa, a new master-planned community of entry-level homes priced from the low $300,000s in Calhoun.

The first two phases of the 250-home community will offer home plans from Artisan’s new catalog, Horizons, as well as the builder’s larger Estate homes collection. The Horizons floor plans are designed to maximize living space with open-concept layouts that encompass 1,234 to 1,763 square feet of space with three to four bedrooms and up to 2.5 bathrooms, Artisan Built said.

“We are proud to bring affordable homes to a rapidly growing area of North Georgia with Salacoa,” Artisan President Stephen Haines said in an announcement. “The new Horizons series of floor plans allow us to offer modern yet affordable homeownership opportunities, and we’re excited to debut them at this new community.”

The first phase of the community, Rosewood at Salacoa, will offer four Horizons floor plans across 112 homesites and will include a three-home model park and a resort-style amenity complex. A lake, walking trails and green space will also be part of the community’s amenities.
