The Home Builders Association of Georgia named Jim Chapman, founder of the Jim Chapman Construction Group, Builder Member of the Year.
The annual award recognizes builders who “go above and beyond” in contributing to the state and local homebuilding industry, HBAG Executive Vice President Austin Hackney said in a press release.
“Jim’s unparalleled service to the homebuilding community is a testament to his passion and dedication,” Hackney said. “It’s not just about building homes; it’s about building a legacy and giving back to the community.”
Chapman has served as a local and state president of HBAG and held several positions at the National Association of Home Builders, including chair of the 55-plus council, land development committee, single-family builders committee and BUILD-PAC.
Licensed as a general contractor in Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina, Jim Chapman Construction specializes in developing land into build-to-rent communities for investors and funds. The firm also performs pre-construction assistance, design-build services, construction management and full-service general contracting.
