David Weekley Homes will open sales at Lanier Landing, its first 55-plus community in Gainesville, in late spring.

The 120-acre community is set at the edge of Lake Lanier and offers 229 homesites and 20 available floor plans. Community amenities will include a resort-style clubhouse with a gym and aerobics studio, pool, pickleball courts and an RV/boat storage lot.

“After having a presence in Sterling on the Lake in Flowery Branch for two decades, we’re no strangers to Hall County,” David Weekley Atlanta Division President Adam Cornett said. “However, Lanier Landing provides an opportunity for us to add the city of Gainesville to our portfolio. Although it’s been one of Georgia’s largest cities for more than 200 years, exciting developments are underway throughout the historic city, making it even more appealing to active adult homebuyers.”

Lanier Landing will be part of David Weekley’s Encore collection of active-adult communities. The developer is currently selling at Crescent Pointe at Great Sky in Canton, Maple Grove at Towne Lake in Woodstock and Old Mill Preserve in Dallas. It plans to launch sales at another Encore community, Wade Farm in McDonough, later this spring.
