Mortgage underwriter with Countrywide Home Loans
Where did you grow up?
Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana
Growing up, what did you want to be?
As I was growing up, my childhood dream was to be involved in the real estate industry, although the specific role remained unclear. Observing my grandfather, who worked as a builder and brick mason, had a profound impact on my aspirations. His craftsmanship with homes inspired my desire to construct houses and transform ordinary spaces into exquisite masterpieces.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Shop
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Oprah Winfrey. I would just love to sit and talk with her about her journey and get some inspiration on how to be the best version of me.
What is Atlanta’s best-kept secret?
There are so many! There are a lot of family-owned eating spots that have amazing food.
What do you love most about the industry?
The ability to grow and evolve in different parts of the real estate industry.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I hold licenses in seven states, and in addition to that, I am a licensed instructor. I have recently added the title of author to my accomplishments, having written a book titled The Real Estate Agent Blueprint: A Guide to Entering, Thriving in, and Retiring from the Real Estate Industry. This book provides insights on navigating a successful career in real estate, from entry to retirement.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Turning it off! Long hours. Needing to know when to shut it down.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
It’s essential to prioritize a robust online presence, tap into personal networks and provide exceptional customer service. Engaging with potential clients through content marketing and social media, as well as nurturing existing relationships.

King and Queen Buildings
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
My first time showing a home in Georgia that had a basement. I had never been in a home with a basement until I came to Atlanta.
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
That I have a law degree.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Maldives because of Its pristine, clean beaches and the underwater scenery. Its vibrant coral reefs and abundant marine life make it a top choice for snorkeling and diving. The Maldives also has some of the most luxurious resorts that I have ever visited.
What is your favorite city after Atlanta?
Alpharetta

Stay consistent! And always keep educating yourself!
