The median sales price of an Atlanta home rose in October on both a yearly (5.2%) and monthly (1.2%) basis to $399,900, as the pace of sales continued to slow.
By unit, home sales fell 7.1% month over month to 4,221 properties, while sales fell 13.7% on an annual basis, Georgia MLS reported, citing its 12-county Housing Market Snapshot. By dollar volume, sales came in at $2.06 billion, down 4.5% from September and down 7.2% from October 2022.
New listings rose 2.6% month over month and 0.8% year over year to 7,146. Active listings, meanwhile, were up 5.8% on a monthly basis and down 8.3% on a yearly one, at 12,348.
Georgia MLS’ 12-county report includes Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding and Rockdale counties.
