Engel & Völkers Atlanta hired COMPASS Greater Atlanta Managing Director of Sales Christopher Burell as chief growth officer.

Burell is also the Atlanta REALTORS® Association 2024 president-elect, a state director for the Georgia Association of REALTORS® and a member of the land use committee and director at the National Association of REALTORS®.

Before joining COMPASS, Burell served as managing broker and chief learning officer at Ansley Real Estate and senior vice president and managing broker of the Intown office of Harry Norman, REALTORS®.

In his new role, Burell will work closely with Founder and CEO Christa Huffstickler and be responsible for company management, team and brand building, agent growth and overall leadership of the firm’s offices.

“Burell’s commitment to excellence has followed him throughout his career across several prestigious firms, having delivered exemplary mentorship and guidance to several Atlanta brokerages,” Huffstickler said in a press release. “He exemplifies the company culture centered around collaboration that we cultivate at Engel & Völkers and will be an extraordinary addition to our company and a key factor in our future growth.”

“My personal motto has always been to live your life by design and do it on your own terms, an attitude I bring to every step of empowering individuals to take control of their destinies, bringing clarity and accountability to their lives and work,” Burell said. “In joining Engel & Völkers Atlanta, I am bringing my expertise to a firm that understands the value and importance of cultivating genuine relationships internally and with clients.”

Burell’s hiring as chief growth officer follows other recent expansionary moves at Engel & Völkers, including the acquisition of the AtHome & Co. and Davis & Hawbaker.
