What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I worked overseas in Haiti, where I was a director for logistics and human resources for a for-profit company that helped NGOs complete projects.

Thomasville
Growing up, what did you want to be?
I had no idea because I was raising my little brother. I wasn’t one of those children who had the luxury of thinking about what I wanted to be.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Breathwork, yoga, go for a walk without my phone, which is extremely hard for me. I love to paint and sit in the sauna at Forth. It helps to remind me to take a minute and slow down.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I would have loved to meet Victor Frankel, who wrote Man’s Search for Meaning. He was a psychologist who survived the Holocaust. He wrote about the importance of hope.
What is Atlanta’s best-kept secret?
The people. It’s not really a secret, but IYKYK.
What do you love most about the industry?
Being needed and helping people. I get to challenge myself and know I know what I’m talking about.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
We are all different. It’s not like one human is the same as another. Trends are real, fads are real. I’m creating my own pathway. I am a really hard worker, and I’m responsive. Those are two traits you have to have to be a successful Realtor. I see conflict as a wonderful opportunity to grow always, which can happen in real estate.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Managing the unknown and not being able to predict what’s coming next but it has allowed me to trust my instinct in an amazing way. You also have to juggle being on site and being behind a desk.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Ask your people to think of you when they inevitably come across a house in need of an expert.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
I don’t I never ever read “fun” books. I always do self-help books, but I am to listening to an audiobook by Sarah Maas called A Court of Roses and Thorns. Her ability to use adjectives is unreal in putting you in her world. I always listen to the podcasts Morning Brew and Pivot. That being said, I can’t wait to listen to my new upcoming podcast Appointment Only, coming soon!
What’s your favorite meal in Atlanta?
For a date night, I’m going to Lyla Lila. I don’t really ever eat chicken, but I get the chicken parm. It has collard greens and a lovely noodle. For a girls night, I love Yeppa or Larakin. For a client dinner, I am taking them to Talan Market. It’s my friend’s restaurant in Summerhill. It’s incredible — all locally sourced from Georgia farmers and growers. It is so yummy!
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta?
I have a bias. It’s a new building. It was built in, I want to say, 2016. It’s called Three Alliance. It’s in Buckhead. I got to sell it, and it’s just such an epic building.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
I found a dead body on a property.
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
I don’t have a family of my own, but I enjoy putting people in homes of their own, and I love my chosen family. You know who you are!
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Italy, all day. I really value being in the countryside. I like being in Tuscany. Part of the reason is because I just love being a nature, and I love the food.
What is your favorite city after Atlanta?
Seattle. I love that it is on the water, and I love the elevation changes and that it is surrounded by nature. It has amazing energy.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
You must have multiple revenue streams or a ton of savings.
