November brought freezing temperatures to Atlanta, and the city’s housing market cooled off as well heading into the holiday season, according to the latest data from Homes.com.
Home prices in Atlanta decreased 1.9% year over year, hitting $387,440. Pricier neighborhoods like Peachtree Heights West and Chastain Park reached median sales prices of $2.6 million and $2.2 million, respectively. Condos in Atlanta were the only property type to see median price growth, increasing 7.1%.
Overall, home sales lagged 11.1% compared to 2024, falling by 600 transactions to 4,830.
When broken down by housing type, single-family home sales fared the best. Single-family, detached-home sales slowed 8.6% year over year, while townhomes or attached housing saw a 23.3% sales decrease, and condo sales fell by 20.1%.
