Allan Minter

Senior Sales Associate
Dorsey Alston, Realtors

Allan Minter, a senior sales associate with Dorsey Alston, has proven himself a tenacious and innovative professional. Since his inaugural induction into Who’s Who in 2014, he’s closed more than $40 million in sales volume. And in his 16 years in real estate, he’s negotiated more than $100 million in career sales volume. He boasts a mantels-worth of awards, the centerpiece being his Phoenix Award, which is given only after 10 consecutive years in the Million Dollar Club of the Atlanta Board of Realtors. But beyond the accolades and numbers, he’s a Realtor clients refer to as genuine, authentic and loyal, as his testimonials attest.

Minter’s success was never a sure thing – he earned it from the ground up. He transitioned into real estate from being a USPTA-certified Tennis Teaching Pro. But he was savvy early on, leveraging tennis contacts to build his database and create a stream of new prospects, and now, his client list is long and diverse.

Minter serves all varieties of clients. From seasoned investors and builders, to film and music executives, to everyday people looking to move up, out, or in to their first home. He’s also helped many domestic and international relocation clients transition to Atlanta.

He’s a neighborhood specialist, which means he understands the nuances that make places like Inman Park, Brookhaven, Smyrna, Midtown, Sandy Springs and even Roswell and Alpharetta unique. So when a buyer comes to him with a budget and a specific list of musts and wants, he knows exactly where to start looking.

In 2016, he began implementing high definition drone videos for all his listings, one of the many marketing efforts that sets him apart.  He’s partnered with a production company that produces high-quality short videos, and markets them through social media, Zillow, realtor.com and many of the top real estate websites.

Minter credits much of his success to his daughter, Stella, and wife, Ana – not only for their inspiration, but for their support. In the years following the downturn, his wife was his strongest advocate and a constant support system. “Providing the best life for my family is what inspires me to work as hard as I do,” he says.

Minter spends his free time reading, running the Beltline, playing records, taking photographs and taking in live music. He’s not the only music fan in his family. His daughter Stella is a live music junkie, and she’s only 2 years old. She’s already seen Modest Mouse twice, Beck, Leon Bridges, Pete Yorn, Chvrches and several tribute bands.

Minter has been actively involved in dog rescue since 2005, and is an avid supporter of Habitat for Humanity. Besides being an active-duty father, some of his more proud moments in life stem from placing foster dogs with their permanent families, and handing over the keys to Habitat Families. “There’s no other feeling like it,” he says.
