Cynthia Baer, Associate Broker

Keller Williams Realty Metro Atlanta

Always happy to act as a resource for anything related to real estate, Cynthia Baer was thrilled to consult on a neighbor’s renovation plans. “After viewing the home, seeing what they were thinking of doing and the cost involved, I realized quickly she would not get a good return on investment,” says Baer, associate broker at Keller Williams Realty Metro Atlanta. “We looked at what the equity, and dollars she would have to put into the home, could buy her instead.”

Baer found her neighbor a home that was everything she hoped for, that her previous home would never have become. After multiple offers, she sold the house for more than they planned. “Her family is thrilled with their new home,” Baer says. “They saved money and didn’t go through the hassle of living through a renovation project.”

Baer admits she wanted a career in realty since childhood — she just took a while to get here. She previously worked in marketing and sales, as an account manager for Kinkos and an account executive in the promotional products industry, assisting large companies such as Glaxo Welcome and Coca-Cola before entering realty 10 years ago.

“I truly love what I do,” says Baer, named a 2017 Top Producer by both the Dekalb Association of Realtors and Keller Williams Realty Metro Atlanta. “I believe people buy more than a house, they are buying a community — it’s the people they are friends with, their children grow up with, they can rely on in a crisis. It’s their home.”

Baer works with all types of clients, from first-time homebuyers to move-up buyers to seniors looking to downsize. “I specialize in understanding school dynamics and how they affect property values, whether or not you have children, which is why families gravitate to me,” she says.

She customizes marketing plans for sellers, stages properties and makes updates to bring clients the greatest return on investment. “Understanding the space is most important,” she says. “Each property has unique qualities that need to be showcased in their own way.”

Active in the community, she supports Intown Collaborative Ministries, Mary Lin Education Foundation and Inman Foundation. She even launched an annual gingerbread house-building event for children. For fun, she plays in a “ukulele mom band.”
