As the associate broker and Realtor at Chrissie Kallio Real Estate of Compass, Kallio, a 14-year veteran of the industry, assists sellers, buyers and investors within Intown Atlanta, guiding all clients through the process.
“I spend a great deal of time advising clients on the design side,” she says, adding that she strives to set her projects apart from the competition without pushing her clients beyond their financial means. “It is more about how you combine the pieces than how much you spend on them.”Kallio’s team includes a buyer’s agent and operations manager. A former marketing and event-planning professional, Kallio transitioned to real estate after purchasing a home in Edgewood in 2003. “My agent made what could have been a confusing or scary experience feel seamless,” she says. “I was invigorated by the process and wanted to be able to replicate that for others.”
Kallio is a certified distressed property expert and has earned the Graduate, Realtor Institute and EcoBroker designations. In addition to her real estate training, she continues to implement her public relations degree to maximize exposure for her listings while harnessing her experience in the restaurant industry to manage client expectations and diffuse frustrations. “Nothing prepares you for working with stressed-out clients like working as a server,” she says.
This year, Kallio reached a record sales price in Cabbagetown for a single-family home and repositioned failed listings to get them sold as the second agent. Recognized by the Atlanta Realtors Association as a top producer and by The Atlantan and Real Trends on the Leading 100 list, Kallio gives back as a volunteer and coach at Inter Atlanta FC.
Kallio ran her second marathon in 2019 in Reykjavik, Iceland, with her kids, husband and mom there cheering her on. She and her husband enjoy soccer weekends with their two boys, who both play, and they all enjoy cheering on Atlanta United.
