Committed to educating his clients about the lending process and different loan programs, Naveed Bhurgri partnered with Atlantic Home Mortgage at the beginning of the year.
“I take as much time as needed to listen to my clients,” he says. “I ask questions about their short- and long-term goals and provide optimal solutions to meet those needs. Obtaining a home loan can be intimidating. It’s my job to make sure clients understand everything clearly.”
A Scotsman Guide 2018 Top Originator, Bhurgri serves a broad range of clients. He handles all aspects of residential financing, including new home purchases, refinances, lines of credit and bridge loans. Helping clients is what most inspires Bhurgri in his lending career. “I always tell myself this person chose to do business with me,” he says. “They picked me, so I know I have a fiduciary responsibility to always do what’s in their best interests.”
Clients appreciate Bhurgri’s consultative and personalized approach. “They always say I take every bit of time to explain the ins and outs of each step and give customer service that is second to none,” he says. “I am a professional who’s creative, responsive, kind and patient — all great traits in a lender.”
With 16 years in the lending industry, Bhurgri opened his first mortgage company in 2006. “It was the worst possible time,” he says. “I was one of the few to not only survive the mortgage meltdown of 2008 but thrive going forward. I couldn’t have done this without the support of my clients, referral partners and family.”
Bhurgri and his business partner recently made a commitment to get involved in their community and give back. “We’ve been fortunate to have a great year, and it’s rewarding to help those less fortunate through our company’s ongoing charity efforts,” he says.
