Allan Minter, Realtor and Senior Advisor

Dorsey Alston Realtors

Just weeks after getting licensed, Allan Minter sold his first home. That was 18 years ago. From that point on, he knew real estate would be a fulfilling career. “The excitement and thrill of the contract negotiation, helping out a recent divorcee start a new chapter in her life, and, of course, the closing was a feeling I’ll never forget,” he says. “I was hooked.”

Minter, a Realtor and senior advisor with Dorsey Alston Realtors, is an Atlanta industry veteran and has negotiated in excess of $120 million throughout his career. Minter’s clients, many of whom have become his advocates, are his biggest source of business. After being in the business for almost 20 years, it’s all repeat business and personal referrals. “We’ve bought and sold over six homes in the past 15 years. Allan was the best Realtor we’ve ever worked with. He managed to not only bring us a full-price contract but navigate a difficult relocation company. He knows the market, held broker caravans, networked with other area agents, is honest, and, most important for us, genuinely cared and looked out for our best interests,” says client Brett Ellinger.

Minter received the Phoenix Award from the Atlanta Board of Realtors in 2012 for 10 consecutive years of achievement in the Million Dollar Club. Another meaningful honor was the Companywide Humanitarian award he earned for his foster and rescue efforts with the Atlanta Dog Squad. This year, he adopted another dog, a pit bull formerly known as Piggy. Since the Minter family adopted her on Easter Sunday, they thought Bunny would be more fitting.

An avid hiker and climber, Minter made the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro on Oct. 1, 2018, and plans to climb Mount Rainier in June 2020. Minter also enjoys running, live music, art, reading, playing records and photography. He loves spending any downtime he has with his family.
