With nearly two decades in the real estate industry, Collette McDonald has her eyes set on the future. “I want to empower more agents who are starting out, or have been in the business for a few years, on what it takes to have longevity and really make an impact in their family’s lives as well as that of their clients,” says McDonald of eXp Realty LLC. “Now is the time for me to give back to those agents who may be questioning their path or struggling.”

Working with buyers and sellers in the Metro Atlanta area, McDonald is an expert in the Brookhaven, Buckhead, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Vinings, Smyrna and Chamblee residential markets, using her extensive background as a leader in the television, satellite, and internet sectors to advise clients in all matters real estate and facilitate successful contract negotiations.

This year, after 19 years at a traditional brick-and-mortar brokerage, first with Coldwell Banker then with RE/MAX, McDonald transitioned to eXp Realty. “This was a tough decision,” she says. “However, with the momentum of technology revolutionizing the way buyers and sellers look at our industry, this is the right move to stay competitive and profitable and to deliver everything our clients need to meet their real estate goals.”

Consistently recognized for her top producer status, McDonald was ranked as the No. 1 agent at RE/MAX Around Atlanta from 2013 to 2018 and previously received the Phoenix Award from the Atlanta Board of Realtors.

McDonald is a founding member of the Brookhaven Police Foundation and was fundamental to the creation of the city of Brookhaven. She is a member of the Atlanta Realtors Association and a professional real estate coach with Tim & Julie Harris Real Estate Coaching. Zillow has also chosen McDonald to be one of its Premier Agents in the Atlanta market through its new Flex Program.

As the daughter of a real estate broker, McDonald hopes to eventually pass her family’s legacy on to her sons.
