With 11 years in the industry, Kelly Walsh has carved a name for herself at Keller Williams. She’s known for her unwavering commitment to her clients and her ability to turn transactions into success stories. “I specialize in closing deals,” she says. “I’ve only had one deal fall apart after due diligence in my 11 years in real estate, because I can work with anybody and collaborate to find solutions to problems.”
Before entering the industry, Walsh excelled in corporate marketing at UPS, having recently earned her MBA. Her transition into real estate was driven by a desire to help families find their dream homes and invest wisely. Her personal experiences as a buyer, seller and renovator of homes gave her a deep understanding of the intricacies of the real estate world.
Her clients speak highly of her, attesting to her qualities as an agent. “My clients and I do the deal as a team,” she shares, “and we work to each other’s strengths.” Walsh closed the largest deal of her career in the summer of 2022, setting a new benchmark for the local market. What’s more, she helped the same family’s mother-in-law, who lived with them, find the perfect place to continue aging in place. Helping three generations of one family made her accomplishment even more meaningful for her.
Beyond real estate work, Walsh serves as city commissioner for the city of Decatur and is a board member of the Decatur Family YMCA. She also helps deliver food and personal items to those in need via a local nonprofit. Walsh believes in sharing her knowledge and insights, which leads to mutual success. “I don’t see this as a zero-sum competitive space,” she explains. “I have enough business for me, and the more I share my knowledge, experience and insights, the more successful I become.”
