Designed to be the focal point of the new Sandy Springs City center, the new luxury mid-rise apartment community, One City Walk is to break ground with it’s construction in June of this year. Designed and funded by the joint venture between Kaplan Residential and George S. Morgan Development Company Inc, the apartment community is expected to welcome it’s first residents in August 2015.
To be constructed at the corner of Roswell Road and Hammond Road, the six-story building is to include 203 luxury apartment homes, an expansive amenity deck and 8,000 square feet of street-front retail space. The one to two bedroom residences are each to feature nine or ten foot ceilings, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, stand-up showers, and upscale tiling and plank flooring in the kitchen, baths and living rooms. The accessible rooftop deck is also to provide residents a rooftop pool, tanning deck, grill station and a bocce ball court.
“One City Walk represents the first new luxury apartment development in the Sandy Springs area in many years, and we have every confidence it will be an immediate success,” said Morris Kaplan, chairman and CEO of Kaplan Residential.
The international multi-family housing architectural firm, Niles Bolton Associates is to lead architectural and interior design for the community, Choate Construction is to be general contractor and Greystar is to handle residential management and leasing.
