3 Atlanta gift ideas to sustain long-term client relationships

One of the most important steps in the agent-client relationship comes at the very end of the transaction – the final token of appreciation. By going above the call of duty and truly showing how much you appreciate your client’s business, you go a long way in earning a client for life (and hopefully plenty of referral business.)

What’s the best way to show that appreciation? For those of you who are tired of the cliche gestures, here are three local ideas to consider:

1. A Trip to the Georgia Aquarium – Who doesn’t love the Georgia Aquarium? From the California sea lions at the new SunTrust Pier to the “AT&T Dolphin Celebration,” there is something for everyone at the Aquarium, which is one of Atlanta’s top destinations.

2. A Creative Restaurant Experience – Metro Atlanta has a diverse culinary scene. Consider offering your clients a restaurant experience that caters to a specific interest or will help them become acquainted with their new neighborhood. For instance, one of your clients may have mentioned an interest in barbecue – why not offer them a gift certificate to Dave Poe’s BBQ in Marietta? Or the Heirloom Market BBQ in Cumberland/Galleria?

3. Fine Cultural Attractions – Atlanta boasts some truly fine cultural attractions, and like the city’s culinary offerings, you can easily adapt your gift to your client’s interests. For instance, a big college football fan would be right at home in the College Football Hall of Fame. A lover of fine art will no doubt appreciate the High Museum of Art of Peachtree street. And for history buffs, there is no better outing than the Center for Civil and Human Rights.
