Working Smart as a Real Estate Professional by Leveraging the Credit Industry

by Atlanta Agent

Agents at Keller Willams Realty Atlanta Classic have been very thankful during 2018, after embracing a collaborative attitude in 2017.

A little over a year ago, they were willing to work with a local credit repair agent, who promised them that they could create more real estate transactions for themselves.

And, the results have been fantastic.

Negative credit is the number one issue that prevents a large number of would-be home buyers from realizing the American dream of home ownership.

We know that in the real estate and mortgage business, you may have to connect with dozens and dozens of prospects, in order to find five to ten people whose credit is good enough to even qualify for a home loan.

That low percentage has been an accepted part of the business for years.

And don’t overlook the fact that buyers with low credit scores are limited in the amount of house they can afford.
That’s where collaborating with a local credit repair agent fits in.

By helping home buyers boost their scores and – thereby – reduce their interest rates on loans, a real estate professional can put buyers into more expensive homes, resulting in fatter commission checks for themselves.

As a further convenience, some credit repair companies offer a website portal where real estate and lending professionals can log in, to submit the contact details of their referrals.

The credit repair agent receives the lead information and follows up. Once the referral becomes a member of the credit repair program, it can take as little as 90 days for the credit score to jump up, significantly.

And it doesn’t stop there.

Depending who is offering the referral program, the website portal may also offer the ability to check on the progress of those referrals, on a regular basis.

Once the buyer’s score has improved, the referring real estate agent can follow up with the buyer and proceed with moving the home buying process forward.

Obviously, such a helpful system will keep a real estate agent’s pipe full of eager buyers.

What’s more, some agents at Keller Willams Realty Atlanta Classic even opted to become independent credit repair agents, themselves, to help level out cashflow between commission checks.

And that’s what working smart is all about.
