Compass of Greater Atlanta has partnered with students in the Savannah College of Art and Design’s SCADpro program to give them real-world experience designing advertising materials.

During the spring academic quarter, SCAD students will research and develop concepts to increase Compass brand awareness in greater Atlanta through creative, interactive and hyper-local marketing campaigns that connect Compass with the community, Compass said in a press release.

“We are thrilled to partner with SCAD and help mold the next generation of innovators, artists and doers,” said Alex Page, Compass regional luxury marketing division Lead. “Education is a key component of Compass’ culture, and we look forward to working with students in the SCADpro program to create something amazing together.”

SCADpro is a collaborative design studio that brings together SCAD’s art students and businesses leaders to tackle real-world challenges, according to the school. Participating students meet with partner organizations over the course of 10 weeks to deliver design briefs, conduct regular reviews and attend final presentations of concepts and deliverables developed during the program.

“SCADpro transforms our students into the designers, thinkers and innovators of tomorrow,” said Sam Eckersley, associate chair of graphic design and SCADpro faculty lead. “Compass has been an enthusiastic partner from the start, which always engages our students on another level. We look forward to viewing the final portfolio at the end of the program.”
