Atlanta-based Blue River Development LLC recently donated 1.5 acres to the city of McDonough for a new fire station and more than 2 acres for the construction of a sports complex at New Creation Christian Academy.

The donation to McDonough will serve as the future site of a fire station adjacent Blue River’s Symphony Park master-planned community. Once developed, Symphony Park will offer cottages, townhomes, single-family homes and apartments.

The 2.07 acres donated to New Creation Christian Academy are adjacent to 62 acres of land the developer recently sold to Pulte Homes on Lake Dow Road in McDonough.

“The Blue River Development team looks forward to our donation helping the school further its athletic programs,” managing principal Brad Cooper said in a press release. “While we are best known for bringing quality developments to metro Atlanta, we also appreciate the impact our philanthropic efforts bring to those areas as well.”
