Atlanta-based land company Blue River Development LLC recently closed on two new Cobb County projects: Sophie’s Park in Mableton and Laura’s Walk in Marietta. 

After the firm finishes land development, Blue River Communities will begin home construction. 

Sophie’s Park is located at Factory Shoals Road and Mableton Parkway and will offer 20 craftsman-style single-family homes. Homes in this “intimate enclave” will start at 2,000 square feet and be priced from the high $400,000s, Blue River said. 

Laura’s Walk is located at Saine Drive and Roberta Drive and will offer 20 single-family homes and 16 townhomes priced from the low $400,000s. Community amenities will include walking trails, sidewalks, streetlights, open space and guest parking. 

“We are excited to start land development on both of these Cobb properties,” Blue River managing principal Brad Cooper said in a press release. “With a shortage of homes in the metro area, these communities are well-positioned to help meet the need for more attainable homes.”
