Engel & Völkers Atlanta promoted Managing Broker Kristen Skebe to chief people officer in a move the brokerage said recognizes her impact on agent growth and affirms its commitment to supporting their businesses.

Skebe recently helped lead an accelerated business planning course to set agents up for a strong 2027. According to Engel & Völkers, the course’s 14 participants added 733 contacts to their CRM databases and recorded $27.8 million in new business.

“Our advisors are building businesses for the long term, and they deserve to know that their leadership is doing the same,” said Chris Burell, chief growth officer at Engel & Völkers Atlanta. “Atlanta is where we have built our careers and this company, and it is where we intend to keep building. Kristen has consistently exceeded expectations in helping our advisors grow. This promotion recognizes that work and reinforces our commitment to the longevity of this brokerage and the people building their futures here.”

Skebe previously worked as an agent and led a successful team. She will continue serving as managing broker of Engel & Völkers Atlanta, a role in which she helped attract 43 agents with more than $307.85 million in annual sales volume.

“Kristen’s leadership continues to shape our growth and the success of our advisors exponentially,” Engel & Völkers Founder and CEO Christa Huffstickler said. “She is a voice our industry should know. This promotion recognizes the influence she has already had on the company we are building together.”

Skebe also serves as the Atlanta REALTORS® Association’s 2026 YPN Planning Committee chair and graduated from its Emerging Leaders Class of 2024. She is slated to be the association’s vice president in 2027.

“What matters to me is the lasting impact we can have on our agents’ careers,” Skebe said. “When people have clear direction, consistent support and a brand that is invested in their future, they can build businesses that grow stronger over time. That is the work I’m proud to be part of here, alongside people who care deeply about one another and the communities we serve.”
