Atlanta home sales fell month-over-month in July on both a per-unit and sales-volume basis, while the median sales price declined as well.        

By unit, home sales slid 14.9% to 4,896 properties, Georgia MLS reported, citing its 12-county Housing Market Snapshot. By dollar volume, sales came in at $2.37 billion, down 17.4% from June. On a year-over-year basis, the number and value of homes sold fell 20.1% and 18.3%, respectively.      

The median sales price of homes sold in July was $400,000, down 2.2% from $409,000 in June and down 0.6% from $402,580 in July 2022.        

New listings slid 9.1% month over month and 21.5% year over year to 7,275, while active listings were up 4% on a monthly basis and down 11% on a yearly one, at 10,654.        

Georgia MLS’ 12-county report includes Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Paulding and Rockdale counties.
