Harry Norman, REALTORS® wraps up fourth annual Cares effort to support Atlanta Ronald McDonald House

by John Yellig

Harry Norman, REALTORS®, recently completed its fourth annual Harry Norman Cares initiative in support of Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities (Atlanta RMHC).

More than 100 Harry Norman agents and employees volunteered for the effort, packaging and donating 1,937 care kits — 15% more than last year — preparing meals and treats for families and hosting a trunk-or-treat event.

This year’s efforts began Oct. 1, when Harry Norman solicited items for care kits with different themes, including Personal Care, Laundry Essentials, Grab-and-Go Snacks and Entertainment. After the donation period ended Oct. 22, Harry Norman agents and employees came together at their local offices to package the items into 1,937 kits, surpassing this year’s goal and topping last year’s donation of 1,680 kits.

Also, 16 Harry Norman volunteers prepared a week’s worth of meals for 30 to 40 families at both Ronald McDonald House locations for the Meals that Heal program, which provides meals to families taking care of sick children.

At the trunk-or-treat event, Harry Norman volunteers decorated their cars and handed out candy to children who were unable to trick or treat the traditional way. Children and their families also decorated pumpkins and had a pizza party after the event.

“To all those who donated items and our dedicated agents and employees who brought this initiative to life — we are truly grateful,” Harry Norman President and CEO Jenni Bonura said in a press release. “Having the opportunity to support Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities in such a meaningful way is a true reflection of our core values, and we couldn’t be prouder of this collective effort.”

“We are thankful for the support of Harry Norman during its Harry Norman Cares Initiative,” Atlanta RMHC President and CEO Tracey Atwater said in a release. “We are excited to be building a new House in Atlanta and look forward to continuing our partnership with Harry Norman.”
