McGraw-Hill Finds The Future Of Construction

McGraw-Hill Construction reported on December contracts for future construction in the metropolitan statistical area of Chicago-Naperville-Joliet, consisting of Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Jasper, Kane, Kendall, Kenosha, Lake, McHenry, Newton, Porter and Will counties in Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois.

According to the Research and Analytics unit of McGraw-Hill Construction, the latest month’s construction activity followed this pattern:

In addition, McGraw-Hill also reported on future construction contracts and the percent change from 2011 to 2012:

-Non-residential buildings include commercial, manufacturing, educational, religious, administrative, recreational, hotel,
dormitory and other buildings.

-Residential buildings include one and two family houses and apartments.

-Non-building construction includes streets and highways, bridges, dams and reservoirs, river and harbor developments,
sewage and water supply systems, missile and space facilities, airports, utilities and communication systems.
