Buckhead mansion sets new record with $20 million sale

by John Yellig

A Buckhead mansion just sold for $19.8 million in an off-market sale, setting a new sales-price record for an Atlanta home.

Ben Hirsh of Hirsh Real Estate represented the sellers, and Havin Greene of Dorsey Alston Realtors represented the buyers, Summer and Michael Tourville.

The previous sales record holders were Tyler Perry’s home on Paces Ferry Road, which sold for $17.5 million in 2016, and a Valley Road home, which sold for $18.1 million in 2021, Hirsh said in a blog post.

Described as “Scandinavian meets California,” the 3391 Tuxedo Road residence covers about 20,000 square feet and was designed and built by Siegel Construction & Design and Norwood Architects. It’s situated on over three acres of land, which was landscaped by Terre Gardens. Sherry Shirah of New Orleans was the interior designer.

The newly built house, which two years to complete, has an open floor plan and offers eight-foot-wide stairs accented with Shou Sugi Ban — burnt Japanese wood — siding, stained cypress accents and 10-foot-tall glass and iron doors. It also features a double-island kitchen, secondary commercial-grade chef’s kitchen for entertaining, family room with heated concrete floors and putting green and golf simulator.

“This house has everything we could have dreamed of,” Summer Tourville said in a press release. “From the flow between indoors and outdoors to the kitchen and the overall warmth, it’s like it was made for us.”
