Associate Broker Winter Baserva’s accolades alone could fill this page, but there would be no room to give them context. So we’ll limit our mentions to three: Baserva is the only agent in Atlanta to be featured on HGTV’s “House Hunters” multiple times; for the past seven years she’s been either the No. 1 agent or team at the largest brokerage in Georgia, Solid Source Realty; and she’s a market segment specialist for CNN.
Baserva credits her enormous success in real estate to her willingness to stand up for her clients and a lifelong devotion to self improvement. She’s a voracious reader and has done everything she can to become, as she puts it, “the best possible version of herself.” Before real estate, Baserva worked in advertising and communications, handling an eclectic stable of clients, from the Miami Art Museum to Grove Garden Luxury Residences. The experience proved vital in 2004 when she made the move to real estate.
Case in point: A homeowner needed to sell. They expected their home to sell fast and so put a contract down a new home. But after three months on the market with their previous agent, they had had only one showing, and no offers. On the verge of losing their new home, the homeowner was referred to Baserva by a previous client whom she’d helped out of a similarly dire situation. Drawing from her previous career and the experience she’d gained as a real estate professional, Baserva put together an aggressive marketing strategy that included exceptional advertising, quality images and personal outreach to her extensive network of industry contacts and wanting buyers. Within two weeks, she’d secured both a strong offer and a fully executed backup offer. The seller got their dream home and Baserva got a card with a picture of Superman on it that read: “people like you, who naturally go above and beyond, make this world a better place for all of us. You were truly our super hero and we can’t thank you enough. You turned such a stressful time into a positive and made us believe in a Realtor® again.” Baserva says that those are the kinds of stories that get her up at 5 a.m. every morning. “I love being able help people in meaningful ways and turn a negative experience into a positive one,” she says.
After more than a decade in the industry, Baserva has developed a complete real estate success system. She calls it “The Closing Code,” and she’s currently in the process of making it available to other agents who want expand their reach and enjoy the same kind of success she’s had. “The real estate industry has changed my life for the better,” she says. “I’m excited to give back to the industry that’s given me so much.”
Outside of her professional accomplishments, Baserva loves spending time with her “crazy-big family.” She stresses the importance of all the relationships in her life that have been built on honesty and respect, including a unique bond she’s formed with a young girl she sponsors in Africa. “All the success in the world doesn’t matter until you’ve made personal contribution an integral part of your life.”
