When Kelly Allison purchased her first home, it left a powerful impression on her heart. “When I closed on my first house I was highly impacted by the realization that this home would go on to provide so much more for my family,” says Allison, Southeast Divisional President at New American Funding (NAF). “I knew that I wanted to be a part of creating financial independence through homeownership for others. To this day I believe that homes are more than just houses and land. They are the backdrop for lifelong family memories and they give our children the stability and security to grow and dream.” Eighteen years later, she still feels like she is fulfilling her life’s purpose.
Allison serves NAF’s internal customers and external customers in each market throughout the Southeast. Clients include the NAF team, builders, Realtors and homebuyers. Always in a constant state of improvement, Allison says that complacency and time are the enemies. “Get better or get beaten is my daily moto. My approach is to always find a better way to serve and to serve with a sense of urgency. “
During her almost two decades in the industry, she and her team have led more than 72,000 families to homeownership. Together, they have created a remarkable culture, based on customer service, innovation and collaboration, that shows customers how much they are valued.
“I believe in hiring like-minded individuals that have the same drive, heart and passion to help customers purchase their dream home,” she says. “Builders and Realtors are blown away by New American Funding’s technology, marketing and operations platform.”
A year after her team of 162 employees joined New American, they were recognized as the No. 1 new construction lender in Metro Atlanta, proof of the impact a small group of people can make when they share an aligned passion and purpose.
Allison knows that communication is the key to providing a streamlined process and experience. “Our technology platform with our proprietary applications, allows us to communicate seamlessly, which keeps all parties informed in real time every step of the way,” she says.
A member of MORPAC, Home Builders Association of Atlanta, Sales and Marketing Council, Professional Women in Business and the Mortgage Bankers Association, Allison has received the Dwayne Shaw Award for representing the culture and spirit of a leader.
A supporter of Habitat for Humanity and education/literacy, Allison is most inspired by her family and her work with St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
