With 26 years of experience, Darnell Bender, associate broker at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia, built his business doing corporate relocations and as a top real estate-owned (REO) sales agent. Having been recognized consistently as one of the top-producing agents, he is dedicated to serving his community, helping everyone from sellers to first-time buyers to move-ups to veterans moving in and out of the city. “I proudly serve my fellow veterans with all of their real estate needs,” Bender says. “I also take a special interest in our seniors.”
After working in the medical field for nearly 15 years following his military career, Bender found the real estate industry through a former military friend and a church member. “I was told I had such a great personality and people skills.” he remembers. “I was motivated to have a more flexible career, which would allow me to spend more of my time working assisting others.”
During the pandemic, Bender found success and positivity participating in various programs at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, such as the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council, along with the Leadership Excellence and Accountability Program. In between those two programs, he also found professional development and success, earning himself yet another year in the Top Producers Sales Club for the 18th year from the Atlanta Realtors’ Association.
With decades of experience and patience, Bender credits his long and successful career to his ability to build relationships and trust with his clients. “I pride myself on trying to help them become educated buyers and sellers,” he says. “And my clients appreciate my patience and depth of knowledge.”
Outside of the office, Bender enjoys fishing. A husband of 23 years to his wife, Carlis, and a father to his two daughters, Delesia and Khariss, he is also a grandfather to Darius. Bender is extraordinarily grateful for his family’s support and love over the years.
