When a new agent comes to Berkshire Hathaway Home Services chief marketing officer Tony Floyd for career advice, he asks them thorough questions so that he can fully understand their situation. He takes the same tact with seasoned pros who may be looking to push into top producer status but can’t quite see the way forward.

“When people present issues, whatever they are, we try to be a good listener so that we understand exactly what they’re dealing with and ask questions instead of just giving them that quick answer which is maybe not the right answer,” Floyd said. “They may not even be asking the right questions.”
