Compass was on the move in September, opening its third metro Atlanta office and hiring its first North Georgia agent.

The new 7,589-square-foot office is located at 2475 Northwinds Parkway in Alpharetta, and the new agent, Laura Elleby, hails from RE/MAX Town & Country in Blue Ridge.

Compass, which was founded in New York City in 2012, opened its first Atlanta office Aug. 16, 2018. The Alpharetta office complements the firm’s existing Intown and Buckhead locations.

“I am so excited and thrilled for the Compass North Atlanta agents to have this beautiful, permanent location to serve their clients and customers in the North Atlanta marketplace,” sales manager Steve Allen said in a press release. “With the opening of this amazing space, it roots Compass into the North Atlanta market and gives the opportunity for continued growth for years to come.”

Elleby closed $23 million in sales in 2020 and has been in real estate for more than three years after working in medical sales for more than a decade.

“I have found my calling,” she said in a release. “I enjoy every moment of helping people find their dream house and assisting others in finding the perfect buyer for their cherished home.”

Elleby represented Compass in the Blue Ridge Parade of Homes earlier this month and has set her sights on opening an office in downtown Blue Ridge. She brings with her “a slew” of North Georgia properties to the Compass market. Her most recent luxury listing, 509 Wisteria Lane in Morganton, is under contract.
