What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

Director of knowledge management

Where did you grow up?

In the U.K., just outside of London.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

A doctor. It’s funny how things work out.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

I ride my Peloton, which I purchased just before COVID hit, or watch movies. I also like to eat!

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

Leonardo Da Vinci. He is known as a painter, but I was surprised to learn that he was also an inventor. He had designs for helicopters and diving equipment, to mention a couple of things.

What is Atlanta’s best-kept secret?

Restaurants

What do you love most about the industry?

The ability to make brand-new connections every day.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?

My accent, for one, as I am from the U.K. I also provide superior customer service and listing videos featuring myself.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

As an entrepreneur, we have to wear many hats, all at the same time. It is difficult to get everything done.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

Go to your sphere and work from a basis of trust. Don’t try and sell to them.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

Star Trek: Picard.

What’s your favorite meal in Atlanta?

My new favorite is oysters from Yao Atlanta. I like to eat the starters and sample the cocktails.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta?

The Capitol building for the gold dome that you can see anywhere. I also like Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?

I worked with a con artist.

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?

My age. I look younger than I am.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?

Rome. Beautiful people, food and country. I love the way the past and present are intermingled together. You can have a church with bullet holes next to a Prada store.

What is your favorite city after Atlanta?

Rome

Treat it as a job and schedule activities through the day.
