Leasing of the 350 class-A apartments at the 131-acre Covington Town Center master-planned community has begun, with move-ins beginning this month.

The Cove at Covington Town Center, as the apartments will be called, is one component of the overall mixed-use development, which will also include 270 townhomes, a movie theater, Publix supermarket, commercial office space, hotels and additional retail.

Community amenities at The Cove include a clubhouse, resort-style pool, coworking spaces, fitness center, linear park, dog park and pet spa, while units include washers and dryers, quartz countertops and modern light fixtures. Apartments will range from 620 to 1,945 square feet and be housed in 14 buildings. Rents will range from $1,285 to $3,035 per month, according to its website.

The Cove, located at 12301 Town Center Blvd., is being developed by Landmark Properties and ACRE, while Greystar will manage it.

“Like so many other fast-growing areas of the Sun Belt, the need for more upscale rental housing options in Covington is extremely high,” Landmark Properties Senior Developer David Tracht said in a press release. “The area has gone without new, well-amenitized multifamily development for two decades, and a combination of significant population growth and a wealth of new jobs in the area have created a market sorely in need of new supply.”

Covington, which is about 35 miles east of Atlanta on I-20, has seen its population grow in recent years, thanks to numerous major employers in the area, as well as the expansion of Cinelease’s 90-acre Three Ring film studio.

“We are pleased to partner with Landmark Properties to bring this dynamic multifamily community to market during a time of unprecedented growth and revitalization in the city of Covington,” ACRE COO Melanie Gersper said. “Resident interest in this premium community has already proven to be high, and we are actively fielding applications.”
