Apartments in the development, located at 1000 Collier Road, are all two-bedroom residences. Community amenities include a fitness center, swimming pool and sun deck, outdoor grilling and playground.
SHR Residential plans to complete upgrades to all units. Renovated apartments have updated kitchens, new washers and dryers and new window coverings, wood-style flooring and paint. Exterior improvements include new windows, gutter and downspout replacements, and new lighting and landscaping.
“Collier Flats fits within our ‘heavy-value-added’ strategy and is an important addition to our growing Upper West Side portfolio,” SHR Residential President Foster Durkee said in a press release. “Collier Flats is an attractive community for both young professionals and families that want to live in a premium apartment in a prime in-town school district. …The neighborhood is thriving with new retail, shopping and restaurants, such as The Works and Westside Village, and located very close to the BeltLine, several parks and numerous outdoor lifestyle amenities.”
SHR Residential was formed by Atlanta-based Songy Highroads and has purchased four Upper Westside communities since its inception. The firm also recently began construction of The Howell, a 210-unit development located less than a mile away, at 1850 Howell Mill Road.
