What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

Homeschooling mom.

Where did you grow up?

Fulton and Dekalb counties.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

A singer.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

Warm bath, candle and a good book/music.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

Maya Angelou, She was a great poet and activist. She seemed to give so much wisdom freely to anyone who would listen.

What is Atlanta’s best-kept secret?

The best way to learn about the culture and people of any city is by attending local events and festivals. Atlanta is known for its diverse population and cultural preferences. It hosts several annual festivals and events throughout the year.

What do you love most about the industry?

Every day presents an opportunity that is unlike the day before. This industry is one of the most personable I’ve experienced, and I enjoy having the opportunity to give back to others in one of the most unforgettable ways by assisting them with their real estate needs.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?

I bring a certain energy that is positively contagious. You will often not have to find me because I will properly introduce myself. I’ve never met a stranger, meaning I want to know you and you to know me.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

I find it very challenging when I request information from perhaps a third party and there is a delay receiving what is needed. Time is of the essence in this industry, and not everyone truly understands this concept.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

Work your sphere of influence. Get your contact list out, and go to work.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

Yellowstone caught my attention, so I’ve engaged in that when time permits. I’m reading The Energy Bus and listening to the Unbothered podcast.

What’s your favorite meal in Atlanta?

Lobster tails on a good day, a turkey burger on a casual day.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Atlanta?

Georgia Aquarium

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?

I was chased by chickens while attempting to show a property.

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?

I am a cancer survivor. I love to travel, but I don’t like to stay long. I get homesick fast.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?

Destin, Florida, when it’s not in a tropical storm. The temperature is just the way I like it. The water is captivating. The seafood is good, and the night sky is clear. My little oasis.

What is your favorite city after Atlanta?

Las Vegas. I love that there’s so much to do and see. Beautiful hotels. Great place to visit, but there’s no place like home.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?

As a broker associate, get involved in your local associations, city chambers and zone committees.

RPR (Realtors Property Resource)
