The 352-unit Celadon on Club luxury apartment community recently opened on the site of the former Northwood Country Club in Lawrenceville.

The 33-acre development was built by Atlanta-based Oxford Properties and will be managed by RAM Partners. Oxford is in the process of developing another class-A community, the Darnell, in Gwinnett County, and has signed RAM to manage it, as well.

“Oxford Properties is excited to welcome our first residents to Celadon on Club, a community of distinction, designed to feel exclusive and inviting,” said Paul Austin, Oxford Properties development partner for Georgia and Charlotte. “Built on the former Northwood Country Club Golf Course, it has acres of natural greenspace, a grand clubhouse and a market-leading amenity base.”

Located at 3355 Club Drive, Celadon is connected by trail to the 25-acre Club Drive Park, which has outdoor basketball courts, a fishing lake, playground and grilling pavilion. A 90-acre expansion is planned for the park.

The community’s amenities were inspired by Northwood, which closed in 2019 and was Gwinnett County’s oldest country club. These include a TrackMan golf simulator and a luxury clubhouse. A resort-style pool, workout facilities and leasable private office space are also available to residents.

Celadon’s one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments have private balconies, nine-foot ceilings and specially-designed entertainment walls for mounted TVs and listening devices.

The market in the 1.2 Mil and up has been pretty strong in the New Homes Construction. As soon as we have cabinetry, trim and tiles we find that buyers will put a contract. At this stage new homes stay for a very short period on the Market. The Alpharetta/Roswell/Woodstock area is in good demand, most of the buyers have been in the late $30’s to the high 60’s . The younger age group and so the old age group are all about the kitchen, custom Pantry/Scullery and outdoor living with Masteron the Main for the 50’s and up. Custom finishes here and there in the floorplan are in big demand, even if the same floorplan is built more than once in the community, they want to put their individuality stamp on it
