A community of 13 “designer” townhomes is going up with a bird’s eye view of the fifth hole of the Charlie Yates Golf Course in East Lake. 

Developer PLH Homes said site work has started on the new enclave — Henderson Commons, Henderson Estates or The Henderson at East Lake — depending on where you look, with construction tentatively scheduled to wrap up at the end of this year or early next.

The townhomes begin in the mid-$900,000s and offer four “true” bedrooms, three full bathrooms and two half baths. A guest suite and half bath are located on the terrace level, along with a rooftop deck. All other bedrooms are on the third floor, while a single-car garage is on the ground level.  

The development is located at 1936 Glenwood Ave. and replaces a mid-century brick ranch home. AD Designs is the architect.
