Alpharetta-based build-to-rent developer Parkland Communities is expanding into the for-sale segment with the launch of Prim Realty, a licensed brokerage that will oversee sales of its portfolio of single-family communities in Georgia.
Parkland hired Kristine Forbes as director of sales for the new business unit. She has decades of experience selling new homes and previously worked at JEH Homes, Jolly Development and Lennar.
The company currently has five for-sale neighborhoods under development, including Parkside at Grove Landing, Stonehaven Park, Brookwood Green, Highland Brook and Adler Creek.
“BTR has evolved from an emerging housing segment into a major part of the residential market, and we’re proud to be growing alongside it,” said Brett Forney, managing broker of Prim Realty and managing partner of Prim Properties. “The launch of Prim Realty allows us to serve customers through every stage of the housing journey. As both companies continue to grow, we’re looking to innovate and create exceptional experiences for both residents and homebuyers.”
Parkland also hired Farrell Middleton to serve as director of operations to help oversee its expanding development and homebuilding platform. He has worked at DRB Homes, Beazer Homes and Toll Brothers/ Sharp Residential, and his company, The Bell Curve of Life, has worked to help build high-performing teams and improve operational efficiency.
“Our growth is creating exciting job opportunities during a time of uncertainty in the home building industry,” Parkland President Jim Jacobi said. “Now is the time to assemble an exceptional team that can support our long-term goals while continuing to deliver best-in-class customer service and experiences.”
