A 320-unit multifamily community is the latest component to be unveiled for the redevelopment of the Ashford Green campus underway in Brookhaven. 

Woodfield Development announced plans for the project after Brookhaven approved the developer’s request to rezone a five-acre parcel from office to residential use.  

Ashford Green’s owner, Vela Companies, is heading up the overall repositioning of the campus, which is within Brookhaven’s Central Perimeter. Other plans include the renovation of the existing 268,000-square-foot office building at 4170 Ashford Dunwoody Road NE and the addition of a 16,000-square-foot food-and-beverage retail village.  

“Ashford Green presents a compelling opportunity to introduce new housing in one of metro Atlanta’s most established employment centers,” said Patrick Kassin, senior vice president and regional development partner at Woodfield. “The Central Perimeter continues to evolve beyond its traditional office base, with significant investment in housing, retail, healthcare and public infrastructure. We believe Ashford Green is well positioned to contribute to that evolution by adding a high-quality residential component within an existing mixed-use setting.” 

Woodfield currently plans to develop a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units in a five-story building. Community amenities will likely include a resort-style pool, clubhouse and coworking areas.  

Woodfield expects to acquire the development site in second quarter 2027, with construction to begin soon thereafter. The current development team includes Dwell Design Studio as the architect, PEC as the civil engineer and Spacecraft as the landscape architect.
