Toni Itkin entered the real estate industry in 1992, and she’s never looked back. From her early designation as Buckhead Broker’s Rookie of the Year to her entry into lifetime membership of the Atlanta Board of Realtors Multi-Million Dollar Club, Itkin’s career has established her as a trusted expert in the local housing market. “Every day in this industry is a new day, because there are always new technologies, new requirements, new everything,” she explains. “That means that this profession is never stagnant; it’s ever-changing, and that’s what inspires me.” Her ability to stay on top of the industry’s constant changes has set her apart and contributed to her ranking as the No. 1 top Realtor at Coldwell Banker’s Buckhead office for multiple years.
Though Itkin’s move to real estate may not have been in her initial career plan, real estate had always been a field in which she was interested and even encouraged by a veteran broker to enter. As it turns out, she hit the ground running: Itkin’s first clients were luxury buyers. While that market continues to be a lucrative one for her business, she values clients of all budgets, many of whom are referrals sent to her by existing and past clients.
The key to outstanding customer service, says Itkin, is taking the time to truly listen to people to ensure that their real estate goals are met. “I listen carefully so that I can strike the right balance between what they want and their price range, but it’s also incredibly important that we be partners every step of the way,” she says. Itkin also avoids high-pressure tactics, relying instead on her presentation of facts and figures to help clients make as informed a decision as possible. And while individuals’ specific needs may vary, Itkin finds that one thing remains consistent: “They expect me to provide the kind of guidance and counsel they need to be well-prepared throughout the process.”
A member of the National Association of Realtors, Itkin is also a certified relocation specialist and received the Crystal Phoenix Award from the Atlanta Board of Realtors for 20 years in its Multi-Million Dollar Club. An avid outdoorswoman, she enjoys golf, tennis and skiing, and lends her support for Meals on Wheels and the Humane Society of Atlanta and Cobb County. While Itkin’s time volunteering and enjoying the outdoors is very dear to her, she also takes great pride in the level of service she’s able to offer local homebuyers and sellers as an agent. “For me, it’s all about making certain that my clients are happy and satisfied,” Itkin says. “That’s at the core of what I do and what I know I can bring to not only the closing table, but also to the real estate industry.”
