From a young age, Robert James Allen Jr. knew he wanted to become a real estate agent. He remembers being in elementary school and dreaming of working with buyers Monday, sellers Tuesday and paperwork Wednesday. “That’s how I thought things worked back then,” remembers Allen, a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties who assists buyers and sellers in metro Atlanta. “My mother was also pregnant with me when she was studying for her broker’s license. I had no choice. From the womb, real estate was my calling.”
It shows in his Chairman’s Circle Gold status — he represents the top 2% of Berkshire Hathaway agents nationally — and the way he gets to know clients so well that he can determine which home they are going to like and why, and they buy it!
“My passion is helping others create wealth through real estate,” he says. Allen tracks his sellers’ profits after every closing to show how much money he’s helped put into the pockets of others for the year. On the other hand, he understands that you must be in the market to profit from the market. From first-time to move-up buyers, his passion fuels his willingness to fight for the best outcome possible for his clients.
Allen was 18 when he entered the industry. “My dad was my first broker,” he shares. “After his first stroke my third semester in college, I transitioned to working with my mom full time as my dad exited the business.” To serve more clients and mentor other agents, like his parents did for him, he recently started a team; his wife is among its members.
Allen loves helping clients buy their dream homes and achieving his own dreams in the process. His greatest joy is the positive impact he has on the life of others, all the while spending time with his wife and their two young kids.
