Realtor Yolanda Jeffries is in the process of opening a new Atlanta real estate brokerage. She’s currently a team leader with Baird & Warner and services the IL/IN regions, with GA coming on board next. “Real estate is a numbers game,” she declares. “By looking at the market statistics, I can come up with the win-win number for buyers and sellers.”
Jeffries entered real estate by default. When the housing market crashed in 2008, she tried leasing her “underwater asset” and worked with agents to short-sale the property but had no luck. “Being the boss lady that I am, I took matters into my own hands and decided to get licensed in 2017 just to sell my home,” she recalls. “I registered for the class and passed the exam within 30 minutes on my first try.”
She realized that short sales were a common problem and resolved to help other homeowners solve their property ownership issues. She’s been “chasing deals in heels” and successfully guiding clients “from showings to closings” ever since.
Jeffries is a 2020 Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) Top Producer and a 2020 CAR Individual Top Producer. She was featured on the cover of Chicago Agent magazine in July 2021 and in the magazine’s Who’s Who edition the following month. Jeffries was nominated by the Illinois Real Estate Journal for Broker of the Year 2021 award. She has an MBA and a strong commercial finance background.
Recently, Jeffries has managed a team of seven agents. She also hosts a popular Money Talk First Friday’s networking event at an upscale venue on the first Friday of every month, which attracts investors, buyers and influencers as a part of her real estate investment club. Jeffries will kick off her first Atlanta Money Talk First Friday event Nov. 5 at the Westin Buckhead Atlanta.
